The ACM1252U-Y4 is an NFC reader/writer module developed based on 13.56 MHz contactless technology. Featuring a USB interface and a separate board-and-antenna design, it is equipped with a Secure Access Module (SAM) card slot. This allows it to work in conjunction with a SAM card to perform key diversification and mutual authentication, thereby providing a high level of security for contactless transactions. Furthermore, it supports post-deployment firmware upgrades, eliminating the need for additional hardware modifications. This reader module builds upon the strengths of the NFC Forum-certified ACR1252U-A1 reader, supporting all three NFC modes: Card Reader/Writer, Card Emulation, and Peer-to-Peer communication. It is specifically designed for quick and easy integration into embedded systems.
The ACM1252U-Y4 supports not only ISO 14443 Type A and B cards, MIFARE series cards, DESFire series cards, FeliCa series cards, and ISO 18092-compliant NFC Tags, but also other NFC devices. It offers an access speed of up to 424 Kbps and an operating distance of up to 50 mm (depending on the type of tag used). It also supports post-deployment firmware upgrades without requiring any hardware modifications.
Featuring a detachable antenna and an optional USB cable, the ACM1252U-Y4 serves as an ideal front-end interface module for enabling NFC transactions on advertising terminals, ticketing machines, gaming consoles, and other integrated systems.
